With H busy on a bachelor's trip, the Little One and I set off to visit Prague for the long weekend. We traveled by car, courtesy of a good friend of mine and manage to get their in good time. We arrived late in the evening and only had time for a quick meal before putting the LittleOne to bed. We found a cute little burrito place near the apartment, Mundo Picant, which did a pretty good job to satisfy our hunger. The owner was nice enough to offer some custom food for the LittleOne, rice and chicken, and even though it was late and most of the ingredients were gone, she still managed to make one yummy burrito. The place is homey and relaxed, definitely worth the visit.
The next morning we woke up and headed off the city. Since we weren't staying in Old Town, we had to take a bus or tram. The bus/tram schedules are not self explanatory and we managed to ride in the wrong direction. After a rude conversation with a bus driver and the help of a friendly passenger, we got back on track.
Our first stop was the Church of Saint Ludmila, a beautiful structure set in an open square.

From there we walked to Old Town, taking in the sights and the streets. We were just getting a feel for the city and decided to cross Charles' Bridge the next day. We stopped for lunch at Lokal, recommended by trip advisor and the owner of our Airbnb, but unfortunately it was disappointing. The food was ordinary, the service unfriendly.

The LittleOne had fun hijacking my camera and running around taking pictures. I must say, she's getting much better at it that I'm seriously considering buying one just for her.
The Old Town is like most squares in Europe, with the exception that it was one of the few cities that hadn't been completed destroyed in the war. It's reminiscent of Paris, including the crowds. The Old Town is chocked with tourists and unless you're comfortable with that kind of thing, it can get very overwhelming. We walked around the Old Town's Square, did some shopping and checked out the local markets. Our last stop was Wenceslas Square before taking the tram home.
