Singapore/Bali

For our last day in Singapore, we slept in and then had breakfast at an egg place called Hatched. The food was good, if not over priced, and we hopped into an uber to the airport. We had already checked in but I needed to drop off my bag, and at the baggage drop-off, they had a machine which scanned the passports and then had some sort of facial recognition software to check if you were the person on the passport. Apparently, my face looks nothing like it used a few years ago, and my face didn’t match. I had to go to the physical check-in counter instead.

After passport control, L had a fantastic time running up and down the electric walkways. The flight was delayed over an hour, which meant more running around for L (and myself naturally). The flight itself was uneventful. I found AirAsia to be a bit extreme. I know it’s a no frills airline, but still, stating that I’m not allowed to eat any food I bring in on the flight to be too much.
Anyway, arrival in Bali was hectic, with one hell of a long time to get our visa and L running around and refusing to cooperate. Having completed that in around an hour, I went to get my airport pick-up and it wasn’t there. I called the hotel, and they said he waited for me a couple of hours and then left. I took a taxi to the hotel instead, but the hotel itself was decent enough to pay for it. L had fallen asleep by then and luckily the road around my hotel had a sidewalk. I took her out in her stroller and got some dinner before heading back for bed.
Tomorrow the adventure begins…
