Geneva - Day 2

With not much time left, one would think that we would hurry it up a bit, but no. We take our time eating breakfast and getting ready, that when we finally leave the apartment, it’s already quite late. Today we plan to go to the old town. On the way, we stop at every playground so the Little Monster can go down the slides and twirl in those round-about thingies.

This naturally frustrates me a bit, but she’s happy and enjoying herself and the sun is nice and warm. Nima catches up with us (surprise, surprise) and we finally manage to convince her to get into the stroller. We make our way to downtown, get to the lake and as we’re crossing the bridge, I suddenly feel tired. Very tired and concerned about the time. I like to enjoy myself, I don’t like to rush around seeing things and not really enjoying them. So I make a decision. I’d rather sit down for lunch somewhere sunny and warm instead of seeing the old town and having to rush back to make sure I catch my flight.

We sit down at Vapiano and have a pasta lunch. The Little Monster is getting tired and cranky but still pleasant and excited to be around Nima and Fargah. After lunch we pack her up in the stroller and start our long walk home. She, thankfully, falls asleep and I let her nap longer than I should.

After a quick coffee at home, I pack my stuff and off I head out to the airport, buying a little something for Hussein.
