Hussein took off to study right after Egypt and we had planned my first visit in the beginning of October (long weekend).

Carrying my backpacker’s backpack and pushing L’s stroller, I made it Frankfurt’s main station and onto the train.

The 4 hours to Paris were better than expected. The little one refused to sleep, she was too excited for that, but overall she behaved fairly well for a 2 year old. At Paris Est hussein was waiting and managed to get off the training carrying everything that was carrying. To make it Fontainebleau was no easy task however. We had three more trains to take and then a car ride. The moment L saw her father, she completely flipped. She was so excited, it was one of the sweetest things ever. She wouldn’t take her eyes off him, which meant that instead of Hussein carrying our things while I dealt with her, we had to switch.

Eventually she fell asleep on the last train and in the car.

Hussein’s apartment is tiny, he is a student after all, but it’s cozy and clean.
