MALAYSIA

Malaysia has been on my travel list for a while and I'm really happy we went. There's so many wonderful corners in Malaysia and it's a shame we didn't get to explore it as much as we would've liked. Needless to say, we will be coming back.

BEST EATS...

What's not to love about the food in Malaysia, so many options to choose from. Here are our favorites:

Kuala Lumpur:

Breakfast at Feeka Coffee Roasters - the coffee is great, the pancakes, the fruit müsli, and the poached eggs. All them were absolutely fabulous.

Lunch/Dinner at Din Tai Fung - Absolutely to die for, plus points for it being Halal. They even had child friendly dishes for the little one.

Ipoh:

Lunch/Dinner at Nasi Ganja - It's no wonder this stuff is addictive, the spicy chicken is exactly what it's supposed to be, spicy and tender. The little loved the chicken (without the spice) and she's the pickiest eater there is

George Town (Penang):

Lunch/Dinner at Laksalicious - Great Laksa and a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere is a little fast-foodie, but the food is worth it.

Lagenda Cafe - The food and atmosphere was so good that we went there twice. Highly recommended.

BEST SLEEP

All our AirBnB were amazing but I have to say my personal favorite was the one we had in George Town. The only drawback was the distance from downtown. Unfortunately, there aren't any AirBnBs near the centre and we didn't want to be in a small hotel room with the kids.

SIGHTS & ACTIVITIES

Kuala Lumpur:

Visit the Jamek Mosque and walk around from there through the central market to the Kuala Lumpur City Gallery. On the way, you'll pass by the Merdaka Square and Sultan Abdul Samad Building.

Discover some street art near Bukit Bintang.

Ipoh:

Perak Cave Temple and street art throughout the town

George Town:

Amazing street art all over the city. Take the funicular up to Penang hill and escape some of the heat. There's a trekking trail for some nature time.
